Grouphorse as Incubator of Interpreters and Translators

Grouphorse has established long-term partnerships with top-notch universities and translation associations. It is one of China’s first practice bases for Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) candidates, an organizational council member of the Translators Association of China (TAC), and a corporate member of the American Translators Association (ATA).

Many prestigious universities have selected Grouphorse as their MTI practice and incubation base, including Beijing Foreign Studies University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Shanghai International Studies University, Tongji University and Sun Yat-sen University.

Numerous outstanding students from these universities keep coming to Grouphorse every year to practice translation and interpreting skills, which help improve their skills and contribute to the cultivation of translators and interpreters in China.

As our flagship training program, Cema Training School of Translation and Interpreting (Cema) attaches great importance to students’ translation and interpreting practice and creatively incorporates practice opportunities into its abundant translation and interpreting resources. Interpreting trainees can improve their skills in many international summits.

Since 2010, Cema has been offering interpreting trainees internships at APEC summits, which has been a coveted opportunity for many interpreters. And it is the only institution in the industry to offer its interpreting trainees internships at the UN. To date, Cema has selected more than 1,000 trainees to practice or observe at top-notch international conferences both at home and abroad, including the APEC summits, Universiade 2011, G20 summits, UN conferences, and the annual “Two Sessions” of top legislative body and advisory body at local governments in China, to name a few.
