At the meeting, Tang Xing introduced the rationale, objectives, strengths, and major progress in the preparation of the ESG Services Committee under the Shanghai Services Federation. Grouphorse Group is undertaking a series of pragmatic initiatives during both the preparatory phase and the future operation of the Committee, aiming to build a comprehensive ESG ecosystem.
Li Guande expressed his recognition of Grouphorse’s preparatory work. He emphasized the Committee’s critical role in advancing modern enterprise management, international engagement, and industry-education integration. He also underscored the Committee’s potential in promoting industrial development and innovation, and shared his expectations for its future contributions.
Following this, Hou Weikang, Su Chunjun, and other guests exchanged views with Grouphorse management and experts on key aspects of the Committee’s design, including its organizational structure, development goals, training systems, standards formulation, evaluation frameworks, and international cooperation.
Both sides agreed that the preparatory work for the ESG Services Committee is progressing in an orderly manner, with discussions and planning already well underway. The establishment of the Committee is expected to positively impact the modern service industry—particularly in enhancing ESG performance across enterprises. In the future, it will serve as a platform for facilitating collaboration and dialogue among enterprises, government bodies, educational institutions, and international organizations.
Spearheaded by Grouphorse Group, the ESG Services Committee under the Shanghai Services Federation is currently in preparation. It is intended to be rooted in Shanghai while serving businesses across China, with a mission to promote corporate development in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions.
The Committee will uphold the new development philosophy of “innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing.” Through its preparation and future operations, it aims to help member enterprises within the Federation enhance their ESG capabilities, thereby boosting their new productivity and global competitiveness.
The Committee will pursue practical measures across standard-setting, talent development, training, and certification, consulting services, outreach and communication, and international cooperation. It seeks to build a comprehensive ESG ecosystem, strengthen the ESG readiness of internationally engaged companies, and elevate the global competitiveness of Chinese enterprises. It will also provide strong support for companies actively participating in global industrial, supply, and value chains.
