  • Mandarin Chinese <> English Translator (Full-time)

    As a fully-fledged in-house translator you’d be working on leading global VIP client accounts, working with cutting-edge technology and delivering quality written translation on a daily basis.

     

    Job Description

    • Translate and proofread documents, mainly from Chinese into English

    • Undertake trainings on additional language pairs may be required

    • Edit documents translated by freelance translators or other internal linguists

    • Maintain databases and use translation memories

    • Juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Manage and train, where appropriate, external vendors


    Requirements

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in translation or Chinese language studies

    • Native level of English

    • Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese

    • Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar

    • Prior translation/proofreading experience preferred

    • Ability to support multiple projects

    • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines

    • Native speaker of other languages (English, Korean, Japanese, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.), Chinese language skill is a plus

    • Working experience as a translator or proofreader is a plus

    • Flexible, responsive and attentive to details

  • English <> Other Languages Interpreters (Part-time)

    Job Description

    • Provide one or more of the services below for Grouphorse and its client:

    • Remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) and remote consecutive interpretation (RCI) via Zoom or other platforms

    • On-site simultaneous and consecutive interpretation 

    • Over-the-phone and video interpretation


    Requirements

    • Have A (Your native language) and B (a working and foreign language) language pair, one of the languages should be English.

    • Higher Education or professional training in languages, interpretation or related fields is preferred 

    • Have stable internet connection, microphone, headsets and/or other equipment to enable RSI and RCI

    • Familiarity with RSI platforms is preferred

    • Ability to comply with relevant rules and regulations

    • Flexible, responsible and attentive to details

Internship Program
